Checklist Summary:

The Symantec Edge SWG Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) provides security policy and technical configuration requirements to protect organizations across the web, social media, applications, and mobile networks. SWG acts as a proxy between users and the internet to identify malicious websites and payloads and control access to sensitive content. SWG solutions consolidate a broad feature-set to authenticate users, filter web traffic, identify cloud application usage, provide data loss prevention, deliver threat prevention, and ensure visibility into encrypted traffic. Symantec SWG features include threat prevention with advanced detection, malware scanning, and sandboxing; deep visibility and analysis for network traffic and security events; web isolation to protect against high-risk sites; and data loss prevention to enforce policies for cloud applications. The Symantec Edge SWG STIG includes the following: • Symantec Edge SWG Network Device Management (NDM) STIG. • Symantec Edge SWG Application Layer Gateway (ALG) STIG.
