The Symantec ProxySG Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) is published as a tool to improve the security of Department of Defense (DoD) information systems and consists of the Symantec ProxySG Application Layer Gateway (ALG) STIG and the Symantec ProxySG Network Device Management (NDM) STIG. This document is meant for use in conjunction with other STIGs such as Network Infrastructure. The Symantec ProxySG ALG STIG provides the technical security policies, requirements, and implementation details for applying security concepts to the ProxySG appliance at the functional level. The Symantec ProxySG NDM STIG provides the technical security policies, requirements, and implementation details for applying security concepts to the management functions and backplane.
Parties within the DoD and Federal Government’s computing environments can obtain the applicable STIG from the Cyber Exchange website. This site contains the latest copies of any STIGs, SRGs, and other related security information. The address for the Cyber Exchange site is https://cyber.mil/.
